Pengembangan Driver LED Berbasis Boost Converter untuk Efisiensi Energi

Lampu Light Emitting Diode (LED) diakui sebagai sumber pencahayaan yang efisien dan tahan lama. Namun, driver LED konvensional sering kali menghambat potensi optimalisasi output cahayanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan cahaya LED melalui pengembangan driver berbasis Boost Converter yang efisien. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah eksperimental, dengan merancang dan mengimplementasikan prototipe driver Boost Converter. Kinerja driver yang dikembangkan dievaluasi berdasarkan efisiensi konversi daya dan intensitas cahaya LED yang dihasilkan, serta dibandingkan dengan driver LED konvensional. Variasi parameter komponen dan frekuensi switching pada Boost Converter juga dianalisis pengaruhnya terhadap kinerja keseluruhan sistem. Hasil akhir menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan driver dapat menghasilkan efisiensi rata-rata sebesar 67,58%, dengan efisiensi tertinggi sebesar 78,83% ketika duty cyrcle sebesar 50%. Tingkat Kesiapterapan Teknologi (TKT) pada penelitian ini adalah pada skala 5 menghasilkan inovasi berupa produk yaitu driver LED. Hasil penelitian berupa artikel jurnal Nasional dan diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan driver LED yang lebih efisien dan mampu menghasilkan intensitas cahaya yang lebih optimal, sehingga memperluas aplikasi LED sebagai solusi penerangan yang unggul.
