Optimalisasi Filler Batang Kelapa Sawit dan Sekam Padi Terhadap Sifat Mekanis Komposit Gipsum Hibrida

Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi sifat mekanis komposit adalah penguat, lebih fokus lagi jenis penguat dan komposisinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan komposisi optimal hibridisasi kayu kelapa sawit dan sekam padi sebagai
penguat komposit gipsum terhadap karakteristik kekuatan lentur dan tekan. Metode penelitian dimulai penyediaan kayu kelapa
sawit, sekam padi, proses partikelisasi filler, perlakuan awal partikel, dan pembentukan komposit hibrida. Perlakuan awal dilakukan
untuk kedua filler pada air panas dan larutan alkali. Komposit hibrida dibentuk menggunakan gipsum sebagai matriks dengan
variasi filler 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 40%, dan 50%. Pengujian lentur dan tekan dilakukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa
kekuatan lentur komposit gipsum hibrida berkisar 0,82 MPa - 3,39 MPa dan kekuatan tekan berkisar 3.15 MPa - 7,27 MPa. Sifat
mekanis terbaik didapat pada persentase filler 20% dan terendah pada persentase 60% filler.
