Teknik Penyediaan Bahan Organik Insitu Dengan Tanaman Tithonia Diversifolia Dalam Menunjang Program Pertanian Berkelanjutan

The availability of soil organic matter will have a major influence on soil fertility. The purpose of writing this article is toprovide information on techniques for providing organic ingredients in situ with Tithonia diversifolia plants in a sustainable manner.The cultivation technique used is the hallway fence technique and garden fence technique with 0.5 m x 0.5 m spacing. Based on fieldobservations, the tithonia diversifolia plant is able to produce fresh biomass of 8 kg per meter during the dry season, whereas in therainy season it is able to produce 16 kg per meter of fresh biomass material on pruning to 5. With the aisle fence system capable ofproducing fresh biomass of 96,000 kg or 96 tons / ha / year. With a garden fence system, it can produce 19,200 kg of fresh biomass or19.2 tons / ha / year. Tithonia biomass can be used as green fertilizer and also made into compost. Providing 20 tons of fresh tithoniadiversifolia per hectare of fresh biomass or 3.3 kg of compost can reduce the use of urea and KCl fertilizers by 50% from therecommended dose with corn production of 6.68 tons per hectare.
