The obstacle faced by mechanics when replacing bearings on the crankshaft is the difficulty of removing the bearing from the crankshaft. When removing a bearing from a mechanical crankshaft it is usually done by hitting the crankshaft bearing using a plate or chisel and removing it using a bearing tracker. Hitting method can speed up the work time, but it is not good for safety and make damage to the construction of the crankshaft. If using other effective removal devices such as bearing trackers will take a long time due to pressure using bolts or threaded shafts. To overcome this problem, we need an effective or efficient tool or jig in releasing bearings on the motorcycle crankshaft. Jig is a tool that can facilitate the work with the aim of increasing work efficiency. This jig has
the function of separating or releasing the bearing from the crankshaft, this planned aid with a size of 220 x 490 x 30 mm uses a hydraulic jack as a drive or pressure conveyor to facilitate the removal process. The results of jig testing conducted by three operators show the average time needed to remove the right hand bearing is between 4.31 - 8.57 seconds, while the average time required to remove the left hand bearing is 4.18 - 8, 39 seconds. The jig produced is very effective and efficient used to remove the motorcycle crankshaft bearings
without any defects in the product.
