Desalinasi Air Payau Dengan Teknik Evaporasi Surya dan Biomassa

This research aims to study the use of solar energy and solar energy evaporation methods in brackish water treatment. The study was conducted in a hybrid desalination system consisting of an evaporator, condenser, and condensate tank. The developed evaporator is a hybrid evaporator that is operated with a combination of solar and biomass evaporation. The independent variables of
the study were operating pressure (76 cmHg, -7.5 cmHg, -15 cmHg, -22.5 cmHg), and operating time between 10:00 - 14:00 WIB. As a response variable, volume and quality of condensate is routinely measured. The results showed that the rate of water production increased with lower operating pressure. The optimum water production rate is 118.2 ml / hr, achieved at an operating pressure of 22.5 cmHg. The lowest biomass energy requirement for water production is 6416.3 kJ/kg of
product.
