SURVEI TINGKAT KERUSAKAN JALAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE PAVEMENT CONDITION INDEX (PCI) DAN METODE BINA MARGA (Studi Kasus Jalan Kota Lhokseumawe)

Roadsurface is the durable surface material laid down on an area intended to sustain vehicles and other traffic. To have the prime condition of pavement actually need to be prevented by regular checked condition. The condition assessment of the road surface is one of the stages to determine the type of program revaluation needs to be done. Two methods used in assessing the condition of roads is methods of Highways and PCI method (Pavement Condition Index).
The study aims to compare the condition of roads particularly the city of Lhokseumawe, by both methods is the method used is fieldwork with primary data in the form of a survey of road damage. The study result compile the order of priority road mantenace using the method of Highways had scores to 4th level from 1 to 9 level where 1 is best condition and 9 is worst, while the PCI method rank pavement conditions had result 89-100 (excellent) point of condition. The results of the evaluation of road conditions the City of Lhokseumawe by both of those methods result relatively equal values that reach conclusion the condition of these roads are still in normal condition but require maintenance and repair.
