Pelatihan Praktikum Sistem Kontrol Kecepatan Motor Listrik Berbasis PID untuk Meningkatkan Kompetensi Siswa SMK Negeri 5 Lhokseumawe

Perkembangan teknologi sistem kontrol dan otomasi industri menuntut lulusan pendidikan vokasi memiliki kompetensi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi kebutuhan di SMK Negeri 5 Lhokseumawe, pembelajaran sistem kontrol masih menghadapi keterbatasan media praktikum sehingga peserta didik belum memperoleh pengalaman yang memadai dalam mengimplementasikan teknologi kontrol modern. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa melalui pelatihan praktikum sistem kontrol kecepatan motor listrik berbasis Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID). Pelatihan dilaksanakan selama dua hari di Laboratorium Instrumentasi dan Sistem Kendali Jurusan Teknik Elektro Politeknik Negeri Lhokseumawe dengan melibatkan enam siswa. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyampaian materi, demonstrasi, praktikum implementasi pengontrol PID, serta evaluasi menggunakan pre-test dan post-test. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai peserta meningkat dari 45,67 pada pre-test menjadi 82,17 pada post-test, dengan peningkatan rata-rata sebesar 36,50 poin. Pengujian menggunakan paired t-test menghasilkan nilai thitung sebesar 16,14, lebih besar daripada ttabel sebesar 2,571 pada taraf signifikansi 5%, sehingga peningkatan kompetensi peserta dinyatakan signifikan secara statistik. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual dan keterampilan praktis peserta dalam mengimplementasikan sistem kontrol kecepatan motor listrik berbasis PID. Dengan demikian, pelatihan praktikum berbasis PID dapat menjadi salah satu bentuk kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang efektif dalam mendukung peningkatan kompetensi siswa pendidikan vokasi.
