PENGARUH PANDEMI COVID 19 TERHADAP TINGKAT PENDAPATAN USAHA MIKRO KECIL DAN MENENGAH (UMKM) SEKTOR KULINER DI KECAMATAN BANDA SAKTI KOTA LHOKSEUMAWE

The Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia was first detected on March 2, 2020, when 2 people were confirmed to have contracted it from a Japanese citizen. On April 9, the pandemic had spread to 34 provinces in Indonesia with DKI Jakarta, East Java, Central Java, West Java and South Sulawesi provinces being the most affected provinces. Since the outbreak of the corona virus or known as the covid-19 pandemic, there has been a very significant decline in the income of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM). There are several UMKM business fields that are the most affected, namely providers of the culinary sector (food and beverage), accommodation, tourism, and trade as well as other service sectors. This study aims to and analyze how much influence the covid-19 pandemic has on the income of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the culinary sector in Banda Sakti District, Lhokseumawe City. The research method used is descriptive quantitative method, using primary data sources through questionnaires and secondary from references to previous research results and online news that are directly related to this research. This research stage starts from a preliminary survey to the market area and interviews with business actors to obtain information about UMKM businesses and income levels. In this study using the Linear Regression Analysis method with the consideration that the pattern of relationships between variables in the study is correlative and causal. This model will be able to answer the form of research problems so that the goal can be achieved, namely measuring how much influence the covid-19 pandemic has on UMKM business income. Respondents in this study were UMKM business actors totaling 65 respondents with a cluster random sampling approach. The results of the study provide empirical evidence that the covid-19 pandemic has a negative and significant effect on income levels in micro, small and medium enterprises in the culinary sector in Lhokseumawe with a magnitude of 73.1%. This research is expected to be a government policy to make local regulations (kanun) to save business people in the city of Lhokseumawe.
