PENGARUH KOSENTRASI INDUSTRI TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN INDUSTRI KECIL DI ACEH, INDONESIA

This study aims to analyze the effect of industrial concentration on the growth of small industries in Aceh. Spatial industrial growth is often associated with industrial agglomeration, where industrial growth is centralized due to efficiency, agglomeration is an activity that can increase the efficiency of the industry within it. This study uses secondary data sources from the Aceh Industry, Trade and Cooperative Office. By using the Geographic Information System (GIS) and correlation analysis, it appears that the growth of small industries in Aceh is concentrated and the pattern of concentration influences the growth of small industries in Aceh. The pattern of concentration causes each district to have a certain type of industry. Based on panel data analysis using random effect, it is found that economic growth is influenced by the concentration index and the agglomeration index of SMEs in Aceh. The higher the concentration index and agglomeration index, the higher the economic growth. This is because concentration and agglomeration together increase the growth in SME employment absorption which has an impact on economic growth.
