Development of Health Chatbot Android-Based Application for Pregnant Women Using Natural Language Processing

Abstract


The high Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia is primarily attributed to insufficient information and limited access to healthcare services for pregnant women. Currently, many rely on local health facilities such as posyandu and puskesmas, but obstacles like time constraints and access hinder effective care. This study aims to develop a health chatbot application to provide effective prenatal health consultations and reduce associated costs. By addressing the information gap and accessibility issues for pregnant women, the research seeks to contribute to lowering the MMR in Indonesia. Utilizing Natural Language Processing (NLP) methods, the application is designed to deliver accurate information tailored to individual needs. This initiative is anticipated to enhance awareness among pregnant women regarding the importance of health maintenance during pregnancy.
